Clay tile liners – This old-fashioned line option is still effective as it can tolerate high heat without getting damaged and can last upwards of 50 years if well maintained.

Stainless steel liners – This liner type is rising in popularity due to its flexibility and affordability. They can withstand temperatures up to 2100 degrees Fahrenheit and come with a warranty. We recommend this type of liner for upgrading or replacing existing chimneys.

Aluminum liners – Similar to stainless steel liners, aluminum varieties cost less but have a lower melting temperature at about 1215 degrees Fahrenheit max. It’s not meant for wood-burning fireplaces. We recommend these ideally for gas chimneys.
